The 3 houses were the Cross Keys, The Plough and The Magpie, although there were actually four buildings from late 17th C to early 19th C forming a public house with an emphasis on high quality dining, in a prosperous suburb, near to historic Sandal Castle. The notorious Yorkshire highwayman William Nevison was arrested in this pub.
The premises underwent a major refurbishment in 2016.
