Ancient, rambling free house with many exposed beams and open fireplace. In the summer there is a lovely garden which has won the 'Letchworth in Bloom' competition. All food is locally sourced wherever possible. The changing guest beers are from the Enterprise Inns list. Became part of the Stonegate Group May 2022. Pub opens early for breakfasts.
Historic Interest
The Three Horseshoes on Norton Road is a Grade ll listed early 18th century coaching inn that has offered hospitality to locals and passing travellers for over 400 years. Norton was first mentioned as 'Norotune' (the northern enclosed farm) in a charter in the year 1007. The pub's 'School Room' was the site of the Danes School until 1873 after which local children were taught in the nearby St Nicholas primary school. Historic England list entry 1174437.
