Long narow bar opened 2019, ther rear of which abuts the castle walls, In addition to four handpumps serving an ever ever changing range of cask beers of all varieties, there are many keg taps serving beers from near and far including sours, porters and strong beers. Prices can reflect the strength and rarity of the beers sold. In addition, a range of boxed ciders are seved and there are fridges stocked with canned beers availabkle to drink in or take away.

Important sporting events are sometimes shown on TV.

Food is not available in the pub itself, but can be obtained from the nearby Bird & Beer which is under the same ownership by ordering at the bar, Wed-Sat,
