This Pub is Permanently Closed
Located deep in the Vyrnwy valley the building dates back to the 19th Century and is thought to be named after leather tanning which once happened on this site. The ‘Farmers Bar’ has a wealth of character features including inglenook fireplace, woodburner and beams and is situated in the oldest part of the pub. There is also a lounge bar, restaurant and a large function room. Food is available on Wed/Sun afternoons and Fri/Sat evenings. There is a popular carvery on Wed and Sun afternoons. **Update October 2016. The Tanhouse has served it's last drinks. Sold for conversion to a private house**
