Now renamed as The Swan Inn after a refurbishment in Spring 2024. Plenty of naked wood, and tables with legs fashioned from piles of books, there are an assortment of tables where one can dine or just drink but the general appearance is not cluttered. From the Swan St entrance, it's almost open-plan with bar directly ahead and large open-plan area to the right with sofas & lower tables. There's a room on the left, now dedicated to events darts: the two dart-boards, complete with electronic wizardry that can be hired for £25 per hour. Carry on down the left side, past tables & a booth, with access to proper drinking terrace. Currently food is a selection of Pieminster Pies and pizzas. Most beers are from the Greene King stable, as well as regulars St Austell Tribute and Timothy Taylor Landlord: beers are served in excellent condition and in branded glassware. There's no separate function room but areas of the pub can be (sort of...) sectioned-off to help accommodate parties. There is live music on Fridays and Sundays.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
Changing beers typically include: Greene King (varies) , Greene King - Yardbird
