This is a hotel, which means that the bar is only open to residents.

Residential hotel (all rooms en suite) situated at the start of the main shopping and eating part of town. Access up a short flight of curved steps leads to a cosy dining room on the right while left is a pleasant lounge bar, the haunt of mainly mature drinkers and diners who enjoy the peaceful surroundings unless sport or music channels are on TV. Note the aerial picture of Abergavenny near the front entrance. The bar menu offers a choice of popular dishes while there are also daily specials; "Try a Pie Night (Monday), Curry Night (Tuesday), "Bangers & Mash" (Wednesday), Burger Night (Thursday), Fish & Chip Supper (Friday) served with a drink although real ale is not specified. Breakfasts are served from 10-noon (Mon-Sat). The guest beers tend to be sourced from Evan Evans of Llandeilo although may change from time to time. For visitors there is a well-stocked tourist information stand. The bus station is just a few yards away.
