This 18th century village local reopened in 2019, after being closed for over three years, having been purchased by a Community Interest Company. It is a 15/20 minute walk from Windsor town centre and included on the “Windsor Beer Mile”. As winner of the Best Community Pub in the Great British Pub Awards 2024, it offers weekly events such as board games nights, a knitting circle, cribbage, quiz nights, film nights, occasional music acts and book clubs. There is a Chatty Cafe on Fridays, as well as French and German language groups. Home to the Windsor Cycle Hub, Windsor Town Funrunners, and Windsor Ukulele Band. Beer is mainly WEBrew but with guest ales; Cider is Sandford Orchards Devon Red. The kitchen is fully operational, offering freshly cooked food.
THERE IS A DEFIBRILLATOR INSTALLED.
Please note: part of the site is used by a school/sixth form college and, on Thursdays between 11am to 2pm during term time, the pub opens especially to allow students to serve drinks and food, prepared by the school chef, based on a special theme for each week.
