NOTE: This pub closed in February 2026 for refurbishment. No work has been carried out, and a reopening date is uncertain.

Tucked just off the Promenade, this local's pub serves three cask ales. A range of bar snacks is available during the day, the appetite being whetted by displaying the fresh pies and sausage rolls in a substantial bar top cabinet. Large single lounge. One of the few pubs that still sells tins of snuff from behind the bar.
