A popular truckstop for long-haul lorry drivers, this friendly pub was built by Trevor Potts from reclaimed materials with a timber interior and quirky features. Memorabilia from the 1950's and earlier decorates the interior. A separate restaurant area opens to serve breakfast to truckers and meals at lunchtime and in the evening. Freshly made roasts, pies and fish & chips are offered. there is a seating area between the pub and the restaurant plus outside seating areas. It offers a book exchange service where you can pick up a book and return it at a later date. The Sunday carvery is very popular and the pub also has an outdoor seating area and large car park. The pub lounge is known as POTT's Bar or Harry's Bar. Live music here on Saturday evenings with Karaoke on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a jukebox in the bar area. There are showers available for the truckers. Since Trevor's death the pub has been run by his wife. Real ale is no longer available.
Historic Interest
Built from largely reclaimed materials, including fittings from the Millstone pub in Tickhill and opened in the late 1990's. Contains memorabilia from the 1950's and earlier.
