Traditional and historic hotel overlooking the scenic harbour and surrounding area. Welcoming visitors and locals alike, this idyllic establishment offers great food, good ale and quality accommodation, all at a reasonable price. Families and pets are welcome and the hotel caters for boating visitors, especially in the summer months. The public bar has stone walls and a multifuel stove, and there are pictures of the village and maritime traditions and events throughout. One guest ale from a variety of breweries, along with up to seven beers from Five Kingdoms Brewery, which is in the same ownership and for which this is the brewery tap, plus in-house bottle-conditioned ales and some font dispensed Craft 'in house' beers. They offer a 1/3 pint tasting platter at no extra cost. The extensive food menu features local produce, and is served in the main bar, dining room and the rear conservatory which overlooks a natural rock garden.

The main bar entrance is not easy to navigate in a wheelchair but the hotel entrance leads to the main bar and is level throughout. No accessible toilet. The ladies toilet is up a flight of stairs and the gents is through a narrow passage off the smaller bar but the staff toilet is available on request and has an easy entrance. There is also a brand new, fully accessible public toilet just along the harbour from the inn.
