This Pub is Permanently Closed

Owned by William Butler & Co when it closed, they had acquired it when they took over Eley's Stafford Brewery in 1928. The licensee at the time of closure, Edward LLewellyn Maddock remained living on the premises until 1965. In about 1969 nos 1&2 Mill Street were demolished and a building erected on the site that is currently (2022) a restaurant.
