This Pub is Permanently Closed
Modern friendly multi-level bar set in former tea rooms that date back to about 1880s with a restaurant. In recent years an interesting selection of real ales (some from small local brewers) have been available. From Dec 2011 to early May 2012 the bar was run by St Judes brewery (of Ipswich) who increased the beer range to a maximum of 30 (usually less) but making for a while probably the biggest real ale selection available in a single bar in Suffolk. Sadly due to recent trading difficulties the St Judes business has now closed. Reportedly (May 2013) being converted into a fish bar.
