What was once the Southampton Hotel is now the very large; busy and lively Square bar/restaurant which caters for couples, families, groups and parties and is fast becoming one of St.Helier's most popular venues. The food is mainly seafood, steaks and BBQ Burgers etc., and there are live music sessions every Wed - Sat. The decor is modern; eclectic (or should that be shabby - chic?) and the single recently installed handpump (with Liberation Ale) is wedged in between the many keg fonts so be sure to ask for cask beer. There are tables and chairs on the forecourt for al fresco dining (and for smokers) and all the town's attractions are close by.
