This Pub is Permanently Closed
Once on the edge of Elland, this old listed building now serves a large modern area of housing, close to a private hospital. lt can be reached on foot from Elland via the South Lane bridge, which passes over the A629, also known as the Calderdale Way. The bar is to one side, a stone flagged area with some seating to the front, a lounge area and pool table to the rear. The connecting side space has seating compartments and the decor includes pictures of local scenes and 'beer' cartoons. There are occasional live music nights and discos, as well as quizzes on Mondays and a large screen television.
