Also known locally as "The Sker", this large and friendly pub in the heart of the Taibach suburb, reopened in 2024 after being closed for a while. It is now a family run pub offering a popular range of good value pub food, including Sunday Lunches and regular live music. There is a spacious bar at the front and a smaller lounge to the side. The interesting "décor" includes a historic car in the front patio and two motorcycles in a corner of the main bar, which also has several motorcycle and local historic pictures on the walls. The lounge being more conventionally decorated. There is one real ale handpump, which is on the lounge bar and does change regularly.
