The Sir Walter Raleigh is a superb community run 16th century free house in the village of East Budleigh, the birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh. The quirky thatched building has numerous nooks and crannies inside with a walled beer garden at the rear. Four cask ales and three real ciders are served to quench your thirst with award winning locally produced food served at meal times. The pub hosts an autumn beer festival plus various monthly events. A beautifully furnished self-catering holiday apartment is available above the pub. There is a free car park in Hayes Lane opposite the pub.
Accessibility access - WChair access is doable. There is a disabled public toilet 25 yards away, but these close at 7 pm.
