This welcoming traditional village pub is popular with walkers and the local community and is convenient for the Went Valley and Brockdale Nature Reserve. The quality of the well-kept real ales is superb. The normal ales are Black sheep Best bitter & Bradfield Farmers Blonde, though other beers may appear occasionally. This award-winning free house comprises a large lounge with open fires and a separate cosy snug. Outside there is ample parking and a spacious beer garden with a covered and heated shelter for smokers. Quiz night is Tuesday.
