Ancient pub; note the sundial on the front wall in equestrian centred district now a bar-lounge with attractive coloured glasswork, woodwork, olden-style stove and lots of nautical bric-a-brac including a fine large model galleon at entrance to kitchen. Plus a separate dining room where a Thai and steak menu predominates. There are also lovely panoramic views to the south west. Sometimes features guest beers less frequently seen in the area.
