District Pub of the Year 2011, Pub of the Season Winter 2013/14, this fine hostelry is a landmark on the Gainsborough Road . Two changing ales on handpump, usually from Marston's range. 2 Bars with dining in both, with an extensive menu for lunchtime and evening meals. In February 2024 The Ship was taken over by Philip & Shaun who are continuing the real ales. Philip & Shaun previously spent 5 years running pubs in the Nottingham area. Cask ale not available from Summer 2025.
