This Pub is Permanently Closed

This pub featured in the very first Good Beer Guide in 1974 and described as a tiny local, the last Matthew Brown pub in Leyland still selling real ale. It featured in the first few beer guides, the last entry being in 1977. It is believed to have closed around this time and has subsequently been demolished.

Our photograph shows the Seven Stars in the centre of the picture with the larger Original Ship next door to it and is used with kind permission of the Leyland Historical Society.
