This large pub caters for the cask ale drinkers as well as for people wanting to eat. There are six ales served to Cask Marque standard, with the regular one brewed by Black Sheep Brewery solely for Ember Inns. On Mondays there is a cask ale club with reduced prices. There is a good-value daytime, and evening menu. Although pub opens at 10am, Saturday and Sunday, drinks are served from 1130am.

Accessibility access - The toilets are adequate but small, maybe tight for an electric chair wheelchair spaces limited due to fix seating.
