Distinctive white glazed faience block exterior with architectural ironwork tree and small ironwork balcony, on the edge of the Chinatown area and handy for Manchester Art Gallery. Enter via steps from the street into a single, well-furnished room surrounding a traditional bar with cut glass mirrors. There are stairs leading up to a far larger function room that is used when the pub is more crowded. All in all a very traditional, friendly and pleasant pub. It opens at midday, and a private members bar from midnight operates for approved industries. The Seven Oaks Ale is brewed for the pub by Facers or Flintshire at a price point not beaten by most venues in the city centre. Toilets are in the basement so and also due to the stairs into the pub, it is not really suitable for disabled customers. Food is not served however outside food from the plethora of restaurants is permitted.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer (guest beer) and 2 regular beers.
