This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Semilong Working Mens Club was originally founded in the late 1870s on the St Andrews Road Leslie Road corner. Then in the late 1890s/early 1900s a new building at 212 St Andrews Road opposite the original building was built and this was called Semilong and District Working Mens Club and Institute. It had the main bar and an upstairs concert room with the toilets in the basement. Then in the 1970s an extension was added to the side of the building which created extra space to the club. Also in 1980/81 another extension was added to the back of the club to accommodate a Committee Room and an extension to the 1970s extension. The club vacated the old building and continued to trade in the 1970s and 1980s extensions. The old building was sold and converted into a Chapel .
