This Pub is Permanently Closed

Large pub on island at head of Framwellgate Moor. Introduced cask ale at end of 2014. Function room catering for weddings, christenings etc. Planning application to convert to ground floor shops and first floor flats June 2015. Closed by Enterprise 'until further notice' Aug 2015. Planning permission granted to install shop windows on ground floor and residential accommodation on first floor September 2015. Now a Greggs and a Co-op convenience store summer 2016.
