Large and smart Arkell's establishment between Royal Wootton Bassett and J16 of the M4. Very much food led it has one large area with the all tables laid out for food. Full menu plus baguettes and jacket potato type food at lunch times and specials in the evenings.

Apart from the two regular Arkell's beers, there is usually another Arkell's seasonal ale available. They all tend to be in excellent condition. Completely refurbished in 2020.

There is a Carvery on Sundays and breakfast every day.

Historic Interest

The Purse family kept the pub from at least 1841 until 1885 and it was then known as The Wheatsheaf. Bought by Arkell's in 1906.

It was renamed Sally Pussey's in the 1970s after a former landlady who's actual name was Sarah Purse.

Renamed to Sally Pussey's Restaurant in July 2016.
