Set in a pleasant and historic village, this busy and friendly community local was completely refurbished in April 2015. It is named after the cart which, once a year, delivers fresh rushes to churches around the Sowerby and Ripponden area. The inn now has a clean, modern feel with stone flooring and wooden wall paneling. It has an extensive food menu with daily specials on offer. The area to the right of the entrance is mainly used for dining and has a large, old fireplace. The bar is in the area to the left, furnished with sofas and a leaded window incorporating a rushcart. There is a further room at a higher level available for eating or drinking. Summertime drinkers can take advantage of the enclosed patio to the front of the building.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
