Traditional Victorian street corner community pub

Friendly one room hostelry, a short walk or bus ride from the city centre serves a wide range of real ales from Marston's portfolio. The bustling pub hosts live bands on Friday, and also Saturday evenings. Part of the community, the pub raises money for local and national charities, such as the Midland Freewheelers (Blood Bikes). Pub and local history and maps are on display, including a list of former licensees.

New since 2023 – a guest beer from the SIBA local list (e.g., Hobsons, Salopian, Enville, etc.) is available.

Covered, heated outdoor seating available.

Headquarters of Old Wulfrunians Hockey Club. Home of The Royal Oak Chapel Ash FC and The Royal Oak Ladies Netball Team
