This Grade II listed building has been a pub and at one time a coaching inn on the old London to Portsmouth route since at least the 16th century with links to Lord Nelson and Queen Victoria. Now a "Hungry Horse" member of the Greene King stable and attractively refurbished in Autumn 2018, it has a "U" shaped counter divided into several areas, some of which resemble small rooms. While family friendly, children are excluded from the sports bar area with its pool, darts and big screen sport. Artefacts such as fire guards and locks dating as far back as 1588 are on display.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
