Cafe-Bar.
This licensed eco-café bar, formerly the Steam Packet, takes its name from the cycle route that passes the door. The historic building is Topsham's second oldest hostelry (Bridge Inn being the oldest). It was closed, as the Steam Packet, by Heavitree Brewery in 2008, and has been sensitively refurbished to now be the Route 2 Café-Bar with its own Cycle Shop and Cycle Hire. It opens early at 8am for the famous Route 2 breakfasts, and also serves freshly prepared locally sourced foods. The kitchen closes at 3pm, but homemade cakes, teas and coffees are served until 5pm. Only bottled beers are currently available [Jan 2017]
