A family run, traditional, independent pub with three attractive main rooms refurbished to a high specification with lots of woodwork. A range of cask ale styles, mostly sourced from local breweries, usually up to seven at weekends. Good quality home cooked food with monthly Thursday theme nights. Through the rear door is a partly-covered patio leading to a sports bar which is available for private functions. Step-free access. The bus station is a three minute walk away.
