Village pub. Accredited for beer quality 2023
Traditional free house at the heart of the small village of Rock, 1 mile south from the A456.
It has a beamed interior, with a central servery, the main public bar on the left, and the smaller and quieter lounge on the right with a raised dining area/meeting room.
Walkers, children and dogs are all welcome in the bar. The public bar has a pool table. Sunday lunches are the only meals offered, otherwise local groups use the dining area as a meeting room. It has log fires in winter, and a small beer garden for the better weather.
Open seven evenings a week, although sometimes closes early on quieter nights (e.g. Tuesday, Sunday). TV is only used for major sporting events. There's a quiz on alternate Wednesdays, a cribbage team and monthly rock'n roll bingo.
Level access from the side to the bars but not the dining area. No adapted WC.
