A country pub and restaurant, with nearby riverside walks. Built in 1896, local reports at the time said that it attracted some very distinguished guests. King Edward VII was once seen drinking here with a group of gentlemen, and in the 1940s British stage and film acting couple Barry Barnes and Diana Churchill were regular visitors.
