Historic pub with listed building status situated in the centre of Tarporley town, mentioned in The Doomsday Book 1086, originally consisting of several small rooms/alcoves with oak beams and traditional decoration and open fires. Renovated 2017 in a contemporary design, with the bar being moved to the rear of the building with the other areas opened out, wooden floors and light airy spaces. The small snug at the front and part of the original tap room remain.. Food is served throughout the pub. Private car park at rear next to more extensive public car park.
