Bristol & District CAMRA Pub of the Year 2025, this welcoming village local has a cosy log-burning stove. There is a single bar, carpeted areas at the front, then through three archways past the slate pillars to the bar. The pub serves as the brewery tap for The Hop Union Brewery in Brislington (owned by the same family) and features a rotating range of Hop Union beers alongside one or two guest ales. The restaurant in the warm conservatory offers an extensive menu, both for lunchtime snacks and more substantial evening meals, all freshly made in-house. Themed food nights include Tuesday Burger Night, Wednesday Pie Night and Thursday Steak Night. Additional seating is available upstairs, and the skittle alley can be hired for private functions. A handful of tables sit set back from the road at the front of the pub, while a small rear garden provides a pleasant sun-trap. Live music monthly and a monthly quiz night.
