A pleasant traditional pub on the High Street refurbished in September 2014 and again in September 2025. There are 4 handpumps on the bar counter, however as of 2026, these are no longer being used, and so the venue has no cask ale.
Historic Interest
Opened in 1904 having been purpose built by Whitbread and replaced a nearby pub of the same name. It, and its predecessor, remains the only pub ever to be sited on the north side of the high street.
