Located on the old London to Portsmouth road, this coaching inn dates from around the early 1600s. Behind the pub is a former Masonic Hall. The single bar is divided into a number of drinking areas. The large teak doors that close the coach entrance are known as 'Elephant Doors' and originate from an old fort in Rajasthan, India.
