This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Red Lion was closed in 2009, then used as a herbal remedies store for a while and reopened in 2015 after a major refurbishment. This 150-year old pub is in the centre of town opposite the clock tower. Rotating beers are from local breweries, Hobsons, Joules, Wye Valley, Six Bells and Clun. There are four letting rooms. The pub lies on the Offa's Dyke Path and the Offa's Dyke Information Centre is within 200 metres. Camra member's discount 20p. Food and drink sourced within 30 miles where possible. Lunches Sunday only in winter.
