A large corner pub built from local ironstone in the 18th century. Very much community-focused, the interior contains a long narrow bar to the front while the larger rear open room contain a games, eating and lounge area. There is a servery, although cask beers are only on the front bar. Local beers prevail with a fifth pump recently added. Friday nights live bands playing rock, blues, folk, country and open mic. Now part of the local Olde England group of pubs.
