There is a focus on food, and three or four cask beers are available at all times. Open plan layout, decorated in the Ember Inns style that incorporates original features, and refurbished in 2023. There is a large garden at the front and plenty of parking spaces to the rear. Regular quizzes are held Sundays and Thursdays and poker on a Monday night. Ale price reduced by £1 on Monday and Thursday.

A Grade II listed imposing Neo-Gothic designed pub built in 1908.
