Large open-plan Chef & Brewer dining establishment and hotel with a large outdor area. Famous for its Catherine Cookson and Lewis Carroll connections it was originally an 18th Century coaching inn. Close to the site of the lost medieval village of Clubden there is also a nature conservation area, Lamesely Pastures, nearby and a bird watching hide opposite the front of the restaurant. An early 2015 'sparkle' i.e. minor revamp throughout also saw two extra hand pulls brought in to increase the total to four and the introduction of Locales from breweries in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Co. Durham.
This Pub serves 4 changing beers (Come from the Chef & Brewer/Punch/Spirit list.) and 0 regular beers.
