A comfortable lounge adjoins the pool and TV room and there is a spacious function room well utilised by local clubs and societies as well as members. For sports fans, there are multiple TV screens in the various rooms and free food - pies, chips etc - is usually provided on Six Nations rugby match days.
Darts and snooker are popular and played most evenings.
The two handpumps offer excellent value and the beer choice is constantly changing, with ales consistently the best quality in the village. An elevated terrace has fine views of the Deeside hills.
