This Pub is Permanently Closed

A Large cavernous bar with wide open spaces reflecting its former use as furniture superstore, before being converted to a Scottish and Newcastle branded pub, from a theme popular in the 1990s. Closed in 2009 and has been on the market ever since. In August 2017 a planning application was submitted to demolish the pub and build housing on the site. Demolition started late April 2021.
