A large open plan bar, though separated into three areas, brightly decorated. Considerable floor space is dedicated to dining, but there's a pool table to one side. The menu features home-made specials and is a class above regular pub fare without being pretentious.

The pub is not that close to the railway, which tunnels under the hill nearby, but the walls are decorated with railway pictures. Car parking is ingeniously squeezed onto small plot. Three guest rooms in adjacent building.
