Community pub in a residential area affording panoramic views of Nottingham. 3 rooms. Darts and pool are played in the bar. Tremendous collection of trophies from the pub's sports teams.

Historic Interest

A rare example of a post war Shipstone's pub which retains original its internal layout. It replaced a Victorian pub of the same name located nearby on North Street.

The Queen Adelaide opened on the 28th December 1962. Designed by Reginald Cooper & Partners in 1961. The conservatory to the rear was added after planning permission in 1991. Two entrances with central gable. The left-hand door serves a small lounge bar, the smoke room originally being walled in mahogany, with a small but original plastic fronted counter. Large function room to rear with excellent views across the City. The right-hand door leads to a large public bar area, the snooker table being in the former kitchen (Elain Harwood {Historic England} & C20 East Midlands).

The Queen Adelaide was registered as an Asset of Community Value on the 30th June 2016 and was nominated by the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA.
