A Victorian country house set in spacious grounds, it was converted into a country club and hotel in the 1960s. It features full restaurant facilities and 22 en-suite bedrooms. It is open to non-residents and general drinkers are welcome in the bar provided they dress to suit the environment. Good quality live jazz is played each Sunday lunchtime in the separate Sovereign suite, for which a small admission fee is charged. Large car park and some sporting facilities.
