Formerly the Fleece, this establishment underwent an extensive refurbishment and re-opened as the Potting Shed in March 2015. It comprises a large, open-plan ground floor room with a bar and kitchen to one side. A number of historic features in the building have been restored and upcycled materials have been used elsewhere. The house real ale is produced by Marstons and another three hand-pumps serve real ales from national breweries. The food is prepared to order from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. A patio area with seating is located to the rear and additional seating is provided within sheds in the pub garden. The upstairs games room contains pool tables and a darts board and there is a terrace area to the rear. Meal deals are offered during weekday lunchtimes and from 4.00pm, Mon-Wed. The pub can get very busy at weekends especially on a Friday and Saturday evening when there is live acoustic music and a DJ. There is a DJ, Funk & Soul Night on the first Thursday of the month.
