This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Potters Arms was a late Georgian/Regency red bricked 2-bar pub with a hipped tiled roof, sah and casement windows and with a stable and outbuildings at the reaf. The pair of adjacent cottages (still standing) are of a similar style and were once accomodation foe pottery workers.
The pub closed in November 2014 and was initially converted into offices for Age Concern. In 2016 planning permission was given to convert the pub to housing and then the following year permission was given to demolish the pub completely and build new houses on the site.
A loss of a pub by stealth, though planing regulations have been tightened since then.
