Lovely, country pub situated in a beautiful spot on the river Dee. Specialises in fishing parties but also well frequented by locals and also those from the nearby towns of Banchory and Aboyne, who travel there primarily for its good food reputation. Cosy bar with cracking fire in winter. Nearby Shooting Greens popular with walkers and now has camping facilities under the access regulations. Sources ale from Coors, usually Doom Bar. On special occasions, marquees are erected in beer garden - including the official opening of the Dee salmon fishing season on 1st February, and a Beer Festival in mid-July, run in conjunction with the local Deeside Brewery as a fund-raiser for local charities.
