Multi bar pub with bowed windows and a spiral staircase leading to two upper dining areas with table service. There is the "St Christopher's Cellar Bar" in the basement which can be hired for functions. Dating from 1766 and named after a Yorkshire castle, known as the “key to the north” because of its strategic position, where Richard II was murdered in 1399.
Food from the Nicholson's menu is available including pies, fish and chips, steaks, sausage and mash, and a selection of bar snacks. Sandwiches are also available between 12 and 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays.
