This Pub is Permanently Closed

Another closed Matthew Brown pub. The original building was demolished in 1962 (see monochrome picture - Richard Richmond) and replaced by a larger building set back from the road. Trade was heavy with many Blackpool bound coaches calling.

However with the opening of the M55 trade declined and the pub closed in 1998, being demolished shortly after and the land used for housing.
